When Sparey was "coloring up" as a kitten, she had a white body with a solid blue tail, solid red ears and brown feet. I knew she on her way to becoming a tortipoint Balinese, but was unsure of how she'd finally turn out. The blue tail turned brown and she is now a chocolate tortipoint (obviously caring the blue gene). The solid red ears have remained, as I knew they would, but they sure look weird, since all points of a torti are supposed to be mottled. Lissa is a very ladylike cat, whom we adopted from a shelter. she was pregnant at the time. and it's a miracle that the workers at the shelter had not already put her to sleep. But my mom and sister picked Lissa out, I was at a friends for the weekend. My mom and sister tell me that the workers at this shelter described Lissa as "mean","not friendly"!We also belive who ever had Lissa in her life before us may have hurt her, because she used to sort of wince when you reached down to pet her. They also made fun of her six toes on both front paw by naming her Foopaw. We translated that as meaning foolish paw.
